Course Description

Project Based Learning is a teaching method in which students explore real-world problems and challenges over an extended period of time. Applicable across grade levels and content areas, PBL has seen a resurgence in interest as research suggests the approach increases student engagement and leads to deeper learning. In this two-week EdTechTeacher course, Tom Driscoll will help participants learn the essential design elements of PBL, identify and align student learning goals, construct driving questions to support sustained inquiry, and maximize authenticity. Participants will also explore examples of PBL, identify and create practical assessment frameworks, and reimagine ways to implement PBL in blended and remote learning settings.
